Emily Scheppegrell

Goucher College (Junior)

Jordan is studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) and Organizational Studies. He chose to intern at The Echo Foundation this summer because of his interest in constitutional law and passion for human rights. At school, he is the Academic Relations Officer for LSA Student Government, as well as a Tour Guide and Campus Day Leader. In his free time, he enjoys watching and playing sports (especially soccer) and spending time with friends and family. 

Emily is studying Philosophy and Communications. She chose to intern at The Echo Foundation this summer because international issues, especially those of women's health rights, are extremely important to her. When she's not in class, she can be found playing ultimate frisbee, working as a writing center tutor or first-year mentor, or filming short horror movies around campus.

Matt Grady

South Mecklenburg High School (Senior) 

Matt chose to intern at The Echo Foundation because of his interest in studying international relations and passion for social justice issues. Outside of school, Matt is a member of the UNICEF National Council and leads his school's club, serves as a student mentor at a global youth peace initiative, and plays on South Meck's varsity tennis team and marching band. In his free time, he loves to play the saxophone, travel, and meet new people.

Alli Burt

Providence Day School (Senior)

Alli chose to intern at The Echo Foundation this summer because of her passion for women's rights. At her school, she leads an Anti-Human Trafficking club, SAGE (Students Advocating for Gender Equality), EmpowHERment, and Charger Auxiliary. In her free time, she runs her own granola business, is involved in Big Brother Big Sister, and is a member of her schools' varsity tennis and lacrosse teams. Her kryptonite is Golden Cow's salted oreo ice cream.
